It has snowed most all day

It’s been snowing most all day here in the High Country so I can only imagine that snow is falling across the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia as well.

Snow began falling at about 10am or so and at times has been very heavy. We’ve had "Charlie Brown flakes", we’ve had sideways snow, and we’ve had snow so hard that you can’t see Seven Devils from my back windows.

If this was yesterday, April Fool’s Day, many of you would think that we were pulling your leg. We had a slight chance of rain and snow in the forecast for today, but it’s been all snow. The winds have been quite at times and then it’s also been so hard that it’s plastering snow on all vertical faces of trees, deck rails…you name it!

It’s pretty to say the least. As I am wrapping up this update…we’re having almost blizzard conditions!

Such is life in the mountains!
