Well, hello there summer!

Alright, I know I am a day early AND I know I sound like Olaf from Frozen. However, summer is one of my favorite times of the year – behind winter of course.

In our trip around the sun, the first day of summer always feels like one of those key milestones in the year.

It is the unofficial halfway point in the year to me and it also seems like time starts passing a little faster each day. Plus each day means we are closer to hitting the slopes again.

This past spring was really weird, to put it mildly, as we were adjusting to the new normal that came along with Covid-19. There will still be some adjusting and adapting, but hopefully, summer will be a little closer to normal.

The resorts have been busy on social media as most have been reopening for summer activities and also sharing some great ski content.

Here is a quick look at some of the best over the past week and change:

Timberline Resort got everyone all excited as they posted an update on their two new lifts late last week.

The Facebook post featured several photos of the new fixed quad lift as the Doppelmayr Installation crew installed the towers. Work seems to be right on schedule in Davis, WV.

Beech Mountain grabbed our attention on Thursday with a Facebook Story post that showed an expanded tubing area.

The crew at Beech has been working hard as they are checking several items off their summer project list.

Cataloochee went old school on Throwback Thursday with a really cool photo from the early days of the resort.

App Ski Mountain flashed back to the start of the 2019-20 season for their Throwback Thursday.

It is crazy how that seems like it was years ago.

Snowshoe Mountain was featured as a stop on the Virtual Country Road Trip by West Virginia Tourism, and Snowshoe featured some of their great summer activities.

While I prefer those views covered with snow, it is amazing how beautiful those views are.

Be sure to follow us on social media as we will bring you the latest on all things ski in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

That will do it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
