We’re welcoming Meteorologist, Marcus Lynch to our team this season. We get a lot of input from meteorologists throughout the region and we always appreciate that. This season Marcus will be updating our weather forecasts from his location in Johnson City, Tennessee. He should begin posting his content on Monday, December 4th, and we hope you’ll welcome his forecasts as well. Now if we can only make certain that his forecasts are skier friendly ļ

Here is the forecast for the week ahead…as of Sunday morning:

Look for mostly sunny to partly cloudy (a rather dry air mass) all week long. Highs on Monday will be near 30° around the upper elevations and slightly warmer near Maggie Valley, Mars Hill and areas near Boone and Blowing Rock. Monday night’s lows will be near 18°. Tuesday should be slightly warmer with highs in the upper 30s to 40° and Tuesday night lows will be near 23° and slightly colder in the valleys. Wednesday will tweak up a bit more to around 44° and lows will be near 25°. Thursday turns COLDER again with highs in the mid 30s and lows around 20°! Look for more of the same Friday with highs around 30° and lows in the teens! Next week will be near normal with mostly clear skies and highs in the 40° range and lows in the low 20s. That’s PERFECT for snowmaking crews across the state of North Carolina!
