COLD AND SNOW HITS THE SOUTHEAST AND MID-ATLANTIC

Weather

Stay up to date by getting notified of new posts!

We’re going to make today’s weather update as simple as possible to understand.  Why?  Because it’s pretty much the same for all of the ski areas.

Expect RAIN early today and as the system of moderate to heavy rain leaves, the COLD air will change the rain to snow across the region!

Expect some significant snow totals of from 2-4" in some areas, to 4-6" of snow in others.  There is the possibility that some of the higher elevations like Snowshoe in West Virginia and Beech Mountain in North Carolina could see as much as 8" of snow out of the next 24-36 hours.

Don’t be suprised to hear some thunder before the snow hits.

Even greater news is that the cold air and weather patterns that have been forecasted for weeks is now here!  The highs will be in the 30s and lows in the teens and 20s for the next two weeks, which will guarantee great ski conditions along the way.

Until next time.
