And Then, There Was None

And then, there was none.

When Sugar Mountain suspended operations on Tuesday evening, we saw the 2019-20 season come to a swift conclusion. It is crazy to think that 18 days ago we were in the middle of the best weekend of the season, but no one really knew what impacts COVID-19 would have at the time.

I thought Mike’s post last night on “The Strangest Season Ever” (you can check it out here) summed it up perfectly. It was just a strange season all the way around.

Bryce posted a great “highlight” style video yesterday recapping the season. It was fun to watch and get stoked for next year.

Thank you for taking a couple of minutes each morning to read my ramblings – it has been a blast and I look forward to doing it all over again next year.

I also want to thank the resorts and our partners for their help as none of this would be possible without them.

Last but not least, a big thank you to Mike for allowing me to take on an extended role this season and another big thank you to our Ski Southeast team.

As we transition into postseason mode, we aren’t going away quietly. I think we have some great things plotted out for the summer and as we move into preseason mode.

We do want to know what you would like to see throughout the offseason – rather it be story subjects, features, more video features or anything else you can think of. Share those with me at [email protected] or on social media.

This year has been fun and I am already counting down the days to next season. Until then, stay healthy and as always #ThinkSnow!
