Today’s featured image is from this weekend at Bryce Resort.

It’s Fat Tuesday and while we love to party, our eyes are on the end of the week.

Today is going to be a spring-like day with warmer temperatures and some undeveloped snow, but Ma Nature returns late Wednesday and with a vengeance.

Brad upped the excitement level for this weekend and the Ski Southeast Summit with his tweet overnight.

Up to a foot of natural snow between Wednesday and Sunday? Yes, please.

The southern resorts aren’t going to be left out of the snow either. Check out this graphic that he shared of the North Carolina and Tennessee mountains.

Beautiful.

It isn’t too late to join us for the Summit but there is limited availability. Get the details here.

On top of the natural snow, it is going to be extremely cold with some of the coldest air of the season. That means the resorts will have a beautiful snowmaking opportunity.

Conditions region-wide are going to be fan-freaking-tastic Thursday on.

As excited as we are for the weekend, conditions are still pretty good today despite yesterday’s rain. The run we have had the past couple of weeks has been incredible, and hopefully, we can keep the momentum going.

For today’s slope conditions, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

A few notable items from the morning report.

  • It is going to be a warmish day so expect some soft snow on the slopes.
  • Beech and Sugar received an inch of snow in the past 24 hours as both resorts saw a quick burst yesterday morning.
  • At Snowshoe, Spruce is open again as a ski trail, and the park crew will begin the evolution build later this week.
  • Wisp’s Park crew is really outdoing themselves with the Central Park Terrain this year. Today, they have 17 features currently and it looks like it is a lot of fun.
  • App Ski Mountain has season memberships for next season on sale now AND you get the ski the rest of this season for free. Visit their website for more information.
  • Beech Mountain is hosting Lees-McRae Family and Friends Ski Weekend starting on Thursday – which includes the dedication of the new classroom at the resort. Find out about the events by clicking here.

This is going to be a great week on the slopes, and be sure to send us your trip reports, photos and videos.

Until next time, #ThinkSnow!
