Today’s featured image is from Massanutten over the weekend.

The weekend was spectacular.

The roller-coaster season continued with what was an incredible weekend of skiing and riding across the entire region.

Fresh powder set the tone and along with the snowmaking, conditions improved tenfold from where we were at Friday morning.

It was a productive weekend no doubt.

The resorts were busy on social media and shared some great content. Check out this birds-eye view of the Fam Jam racecourse on Spruce at Snowshoe. It looked like a great time.

This overhead shot at App Ski Mountain from Sunday is really impressive with the fresh snow in the background.

Massanutten was showing off their Bluebird Day on Sunday where the ski and snow both looked amazing.

Ober Gatlinburg was a Winter Wonderland on Saturday as they crossed over a foot of natural snow for the season. Check out this look they shared midday Saturday.

Wolf Ridge was sharing the calm before the storm on Sunday morning. Such a peaceful shot.

The roller coaster ride continues today as more underdeveloped snow moves into the area.

Rain could be heavy at times – especially in the southern part of the region where we could see another 2-3” of rain over the next two days.

Yuck.

The rain isn’t going to be as heavy for the northern part, but it will still be periods of wet weather. Conditions will vary throughout the day (and some cases by the minute) so be sure to be aware today.

However, there is still plenty of snow on the slopes leading into President’s Day weekend, and it looks like we will have a really good snowmaking window late this week.

For the latest conditions on the slopes, be sure to check out the Snow Reports page.

It is hard to believe, but we are just 18 days away from the 13th annual SkiSoutheast Summit at Snowshoe Feb. 28, Feb. 29 and March 1. I took a look at the really long-range forecast this morning, and it looks promising.

So far, we have 71 people signed up to join in on the fun that weekend.

Mike prepared a great promo over the weekend.

We would love to see you join us. We get an extra day this year so why not spend it on the slopes?

That will do it for today. Until next time, #ThinkSnow!
