A Monday Of Change

It is going to be a Monday of changes across the area with some cold weather on the way

This morning is a bit of calm before the storm (maybe literally) as a cold front is knocking on our door. The front will move through around midday with some rain with cooler air moving in behind.

It will be a nice break from the warmish weather we had this weekend.

The rain is a bummer – even though it doesn’t look like it will be a ton – but the cold should allow mountain operations to resume snowmaking overnight.

That will be a nice refresh over the next couple of days, and the best part is we could see some light snow on Wednesday.

Be on the lookout for Brad’s latest Skier’s Forecast in the coming days and we will certainly keep you updated on the middle of the week cold and snow.

We have seven resorts open for play today with App Ski, Beech Mountain, Cataloochee, Snowshoe Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Timberline Mountain, and Wisp Resort will have lifts spinning today.

You can check out the latest conditions over at the Snow Reports page.

The biggest takeaway is there is still plenty of snow to play on today.

A couple of our team were over on Beech Mountain yesterday, and it sounded like they had a great time with pretty solid conditions. Our own Justin Partridge provided today’s featured image as well as this great shot below.

It was a great day to hit the slopes for sure.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
