Appalachian Ski Mountain shared that the fact that they made snow (again) on Monday night and to be honest, one look at their LIVE webcams there will attest that they actually look very much in mid-season form with 100% of their terrain open (12 of 12 slopes), and terrain parks as well.
Wisp Resort received 2″ of natural snow on Monday and with 20° temps this morning, they also look in mid-season form.
Snowshoe Mountain is no longer offering night sessions over on the Silver Creek side of the mountain or they too would be 100% open. As it is, they are open with 42 trails today.
Ditto that same sentiment across the region as 8 of 16 ski areas are open today with Massanutten Resort and Wintergreen Resort both planning on reopening this weekend.
It’s really crazy how good things look across the region as we near the end of the 2018-2019 ski and snowboarding season.
Omni Homestead did shut down snow-sports ops for the season after Monday sessions and shared:
Mother Nature is bringing us spring-like weather now, so our winter sports are now closed for the season. We’re ready for other outdoor adventures now, like our Ridge Runner Zip Tour, horseback riding, sporting clays, Segway tours, fly fishing, golf and lots more. Thank you for your support!
App Ski Mountain also wanted to share that they are hosting their annual Meltdown Games this Saturday and Sunday (March 23rd and 24th) with a weekend full of free, fun events.
If you have not been on the snow yet this season, you can still make some awesome turns with no lift lines, great conditions and discounted skiing and snowboarding. Get out there!
