Montgomery County’s Best is Winning Woolly Worm!

We posted the winner and results from the festival on Saturday, however we thought we’d condense a full Saturday of fun into about six minutes of video for those of you who would like to see what happens at this cool, little mountain festival.

Here’s the video:

The week-by-week summary of this Winter’s forecast is at the end of the video…and shown below:

WEEK ONE: BLACK BAND – Below the average of 27° and Snowy
WEEK TWO: BLACK BAND – Below the average of 27° and Snowy
WEEK THREE: BLACK BAND – Below the average of 27° and Snowy

WEEK FOUR: FLECK (mix of dark brown and black) – Below average temps and light snow or ice.

WEEK FIVE: DARK BROWN – Below Average Temperatures – Little Precip
WEEK SIX: DARK BROWN – Below Average Temperatures – Little Precip
WEEK SEVEN: DARK BROWN – Below Average Temperatures – Little Precip
WEEK EIGHT: DARK BROWN – Below Average Temperatures – Little Precip
WEEK NINE: DARK BROWN – Below Average Temperatures – Little Precip

WEEK ELEVEN: FLECK (mix of dark brown and black) – Below average temps and light snow or ice.

WEEK TWELVE: FLECK (mix of dark brown and black) – Below average temps and light snow or ice.

I don’t know about you guys but I’ll take that…with perhaps a touch more snow in the mix. Looks like plenty of snowmaking temperatures as there’s not a warm or mild spot in this forecast.

Update: Winds in excess of 50 mph wrecked numerous tents causing Woolly Festival organizers to cancel Sunday’s fun.

That’s a shame because Sunday was an awesome, Autumn day to enjoy the High Country.
