Wolf Ridge Ski Resort, Mars Hill, North Carolina:

What They Say About Themselves!

When you ski or snowboard at Wolf Ridge Ski Resort you'll enjoy unmatched views, crisp mountain air, well-groomed slopes and some new places to explore at Western North Carolina's top-rated ski slope.

There is something for everyone from beginner to expert at this family-oriented resort now with expanded terrain, a new terrain park, new 1/2 mile trail and quad lift!

Area Description:

Wolf Ridge Ski Resort is a family-oriented resort that has undergone perhaps the largest growth and changes in North Carolina. In addition to a name change from what was formerly known as Wolf Laurel Ski Area, the resort has expanded this year with 15 additional acres of ski terrain, a new Quad Lift and a new Terrain Park.  That 15 additional acres takes Wolf Ridge Ski Resort to 82 total acres of terrain on which to ride!

...and it doesn't appear that "The Wolf" is going to stand pat with these upgrades! They are already announcing that by the beginning of the 2007-2008 season they will be offering 30 ADDITIONAL acres of ski slopes and trails and 1.5 miles of additional ski runs! As if that's not enough, they are also adding another scenic double lift to their lift system!

For Great Après-ski Fun:

The food service at Wolf Ridge has been expanded as well, with three convenient places to eat on the mountain - the Grill at the Lower Lodge, The Lodge Steak & Ribs at the Upper Lodge and a small grill in the Breakaway Village area.

While on the mountain you can warm to a crackling fire at either of their large rustic lodges with plenty of room for your family and gear!  Both lodges offer massive stone fireplaces.  The Upper Wolf Ridge Lodge easily accommodates families and walk-ins.  The Lower Wolf Ridge Lodge easily accommodates the many groups that call Wolf Ridge Ski Resort a favorite!

The Easiest Access Wolf Ridge Ski Resort is North Carolina’s most accessible ski slope. You won’t find miles and miles of two lane roads and harrowing curves – the resort located just 5 miles from I-26 (exit 3) and just 30 minutes from Asheville, North Carolina.

Wolf Ridge has also made access to the mountain easy with three places to park, purchase lift tickets and rent equipment. The resort offers great terrain for beginners to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Visitors will also enjoy the two rustic lodges at Wolf Ridge with large fireplaces and room to relax. There are also 3 places to eat at the resort including The Lodge Steak & Rib Restaurant – well-known for their great rib and steak selections and unmatched sunset views.
