Winterplace to Open on Christmas Day

"Winterplace has expanded the ski resort for the nineteenth consecutive year”
said Terry Pfeiffer, president of Winterplace Ski Resort. ‘We have added even
more snowmaking equipment again this year! We have widened Turkey Chute
and Over Easy! New top of the line Rossignol skis and snowboards have been
added to the rental equipment fleet! We have been working on the terrain park
features and we have a NEW C Box for you to slide on!" said Terry Pfeiffer.

With the Winterplace Central Reservations Service, guests have the ability to
reserve everything from lodging to lift tickets with one simple toll free phone call.
Lodging can be arranged at Winterplace’s sister resort, The Resort at Glade
Springs and other fine lodging facilities in the area.

"Our goal is to provide the finest skiing and resort experience in the Southeast,
during the past nineteen years, we’ve made numerous improvements and
additions to Winterplace to insure that skiers and snowboarders of all levels have
a great experience skiing and riding at Winterplace," said Pfeiffer.

Winterplace offers 9 lifts, 27 trails, 2 terrain parks, and West Virginia’s largest
snowtubing park with 2 Super Carpet lifts. The rental shop features top-of-theline
Rossignol Shaped Skis and Rossignol Snowboards, plus a Demo Center. A
full service Resort Center and a 10,000 square foot mid-mountain facility, The
MountainHouse.

Learn-To-Ski I Learn-To-Board Packages are offered for first time skiers and
boarders. The Learn-To-Ski I Board Packages include a 90 minute group lesson,
rental equipment and beginner lift ticket.
