This is the 3rd and last of the important holiday weekends for the ski resorts. There are three major holiday weekends each season; Christmas to New Year, MLK Weekend and President’s Day Weekend. These four day weekends allow travelers an extra day of travel and hence they are the three most important periods in every season to the ski resorts.
I am happy to report that all three of these, important weekends and holidays have been great in terms of traffic and skier-visits.
Today I am providing the VIDEO SNOW REPORT again this weekend. Many of you mentioned liking that new feature. If you follow us on Facebook, you are already aware that it is snowing up in Virginia and West Virginia.

NOTABLES FOR SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2019
It is twenty degrees colder in WV than NC this morning. That allowed Canaan Valley and Snowshoe to make snow and they still are as temps allow.
If you DID watch the video, you’ll know that WINTERPLACE RESORT was seeing significant snowfall this morning. They reported 1″ already. We saw a bit of a dusting at Omni Homestead Resort in Virginia and a trace of snow at Massanutten this morning.
