HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. Things dry out for Wednesday after some patchy morning fog and drizzle. Decreasing clouds for the afternoon with a high around 40 degrees. An isolated snow flurry or two Wednesday night with lows in the middle 20’s. A 20% chance of morning snow changing to rain by Thursday afternoon with highs in the middle 30’s. Skies will be partly cloudy on Friday with cooler temperatures in the low 30’s.

SNOWSHOE…. A return to sunshine by Wednesday afternoon with highs in the upper 30’s. Clear skies Wednesday night with temperatures in the upper 20’s. Mostly cloudy for Thursday with a 30% chance of rain or snow and highs around 35 degrees. A little cooler for Friday with a 20% chance of light snow and temperatures topping out around 30 degrees.

WINTERGREEN…. Wednesday will bring partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures in the middle 50’s. Overnight temperatures bottom out around 35 degrees with clear skies. A warm Thursday with sunshine and 55 for a high. By Friday, skies will still be blue, but the mercury will only see temperatures warm into the upper 40’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. A 40% chance of a lingering showers Wednesday morning, then skies gradually clear up with a high in the middle and upper 50’s. Skies will be partly cloudy Wednesday night with lows in the upper 30’s. The real warm up moves in for Thursday with partly cloudy skies and high in the low 60’s. Friday will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the middle 50’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Look for lingering clouds with a 30% rain chance on Wednesday. Afternoon temperatures will warm into the low 50’s with a west wind between 10 and 20 mph. Skies clear out overnight with a low around the freezing mark. Thursday and Friday will be mostly sunny and breezy with readings in the middle and upper 40’s.
