From the historic columns of Lambuth Inn to the spectacular views from the Terrace Hotel dining room, our lodging will make your visit exceptional and memorable. Also available are the Lakeside Lodge, a motel style facility as well as the Sunnyside Lodge and Mountain View Lodges, with dormitory style rooms with private baths. The Junaluska Apartments are great for families and youth groups with kitchenettes in most units and a wide range of accommodations are available at our Camp Adventure camp ground from tents and RV hookups to cabins and apartment efficiencies.
Terrace Hotel
Overlooking beautiful Lake Junaluska, Terrace Hotel is a popular choice with many because of its central location and full service facilities. Relax in a rocking chair along the lakeside terrace or enjoy a peaceful walk through the adjacent rose garden. Terrace Hotel offers all the best of Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center.
There are 105 sleeping rooms, which will accommodate from 1 to 4 guests. Internet service is available in all rooms, and there are handicap accessible rooms. Terrace Hotel consists of several meeting rooms that will accommodate from 40 to 350 guests. There is a dining room that serves buffet style meals for up to 350 guests. Some meeting spaces can be used as banquet rooms and provide a pleasant atmosphere for receptions.
Lambuth Inn
Built in 1921, Lambuth Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. A popular destination for many guests, Lambuth Inn offers panoramic views of Lake Junaluska and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Inside, you will find a recently refurbished and updated full service facility that will meet the needs of any group. Lambuth Inn also offers a unique prayer chapel, which provides an intimate setting for reflection and meditation.
There are 131 sleeping rooms, which will accommodate from 1 to 6 guests, depending on the number of beds in each room. There is a dining room that serves buffet style meals for up to 350 guests. There are also several meeting rooms that will accommodate from 15 to 225 guests. Some meeting spaces can be used as banquet rooms and provide a pleasant atmosphere for receptions.
Apartments
Perfect for groups of all types, the Junaluska Apartments are conveniently located near Shackford Hall, the Children’s Building, the Kern Youth Center, the Aquatic Center (pool and boat rentals) and Edwin Jones Dining hall. Families and youth groups enjoy the grassy lawns in front of the Junaluska Apartments. The apartments also offer great flexibility, with capacities ranging from 4 to 12 persons each. Many of the apartments offer the convenience of an efficiency kitchenette.
The Junaluska Apartments have a total of 50 units, each with one restroom. Some units are handicap accessible. Linens are provided for bedding and bath. These units are heated and air-conditioned. There are no TV's or phones included.
Mountain View- Sunnyside
Mountainview and Sunnyside Lodges are seasonal facilities perfect for youth and other budget conscious groups. These facilities are conveniently located near Shackford Hall, the Children’s Building and the Edwin Jones Dining Hall.
There are 42 rooms in Mountainview Lodge and 38 rooms in Sunnyside Lodge that can accommodate from 1 to 6 people. All rooms include private bathrooms and linens for bedding and bath. These facilities do not include TV's or telephones and are not heated or air-conditioned.
Directions Coming from East (from Asheville-25 miles): From I-40, take exit 27 onto US 19-23. Drive 3-4 miles. Do not take exit 104 -- it is easy to get lost. Take exit 103 and drive about 1 mile until you see Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center front entrance gates on the right. Bear right and follow the main road to the Bethea Welcome Center.
Coming from West (from Knoxville- 92 miles): From I-40, take exit 20 toward "Lake Junaluska, Maggie Valley". Bear right on the ramp. Drive 7 miles until you come to the stop light. Turn left at the light and drive 3 more miles until you pass the second stop light. The Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center front gates will be on your left shortly after. Turn left and follow the main road to the Bethea Welcome Center.
Coming from Atlanta- 172 miles from Midtown: I-85 North to I-985 North. At Gainesville, GA take 365 North to 441 North into NC. Just past Dillsboro, NC, 441 merges with US 74 which will turn into 23/74. Take Hwy 23/74 North Lake Junaluska/Maggie Valley Exit (102-B). Travel two miles then turn right on US 19. The entrance to Lake Junaluska is approximately ¼ mile on left. Turn left and follow the main road to the Bethea Welcome Center.
