Like the splendor that surrounds them, Appalachian Cabins combines the rustic charm of yesteryear with the ease and comfort of modern day conveniences. The cabins were cut and assembled just as the early settlers of this area built their homes more than a century ago. All the timber came from nearby Spruce Mountain, and was milled locally in Hardy County. The timber was hand hewn and assembled on the site of the cabins. The carved porch posts and gingerbread design trim were rescued from a century year old Hardy County mansion that was falling into ruin. Many of the floors in the cabins came from an old log house in Hardy County. The artistry of the native stone chimneys has to be seen to be believed. All the materials for our cabins are assembled of local natural hardwoods. Located in Seneca, West Virginia, a comfortable driving distance from several metropolitan areas, Appalachian Cabins offers the peaceful seclusion of country living within easy driving distance of such conveniences as restaurants, theaters, bowling allies, and shopping centers as well as many other local tourist attractions. We also feature on site grills and picnic areas for your enjoyment. |
