Despite the warmer winter weather, Timberline Ski Resort is open to the top of the mountain’s 1,000 foot vertical. The holiday celebration will culminate in the New Year’s Eve event which is traditionally the region’s biggest social event of the season.

This New Year’s celebration will start with dinner buffet at 6:00 pm, December 31st. Two bands will perform from 4:00 pm until 2:00 am. The early evening entertainment will be by Teacher’s Pet, a vocal and instrumental group from Reading, Pennsylvania, featuring vocalists Ashley, Tara and Bob and instrumentalists Lou and David. The New Year will be rung in by the region’s favorite rhythm and blues group, Macho Willy, with JB Tenney as lead vocalist and instrumentalist and also featuring Harley Wood on keyboard.

Macho Willy appeared every Friday and Saturday evening and holidays during this past year at Timberline Resort. JB Tenney is known for his unique style of rhythm and blues featuring lead and steel guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.

The expanded entertainment schedule is consistent with the increase in all of the resort’s recent activities including significant increase in snowmaking capabilities, the expanding ski trail system and emphasis on all season events.

Timberline is recognized for its consistent vertical on all major trails, the South’s longest ski trail and a popular distribution of beginner, intermediate and advanced skiing terrain.

Admission to the New Year’s Eve dinner and later evening celebration is $40.95 per couple, $22.95 per person and$12.95 for children under 12. Admission to the New Year party without dinner is $10.00 per person and $15.00 per couple.
