On Snow

Stay up to date by getting notified of new posts!

Cataloochee continues to amaze with their ability to not only make snow but keep it going in horrendously warm conditions! Plenty of base depth virtually everywhere. The only brown I noted was at the base of the terrain park features, and a maybe 10ft square patch just up hill from the omigosh lift loading area. The skier’s right side was also creeping in some during the day, maybe 10 feet in from the trial edge for the first 100 yards or so. Terrain park features operative Sunday included a 15ft or so rail I do not recall from last season, and another “hump” shaped “skis and tees” wide rail from last season. Absolutely no lift lines, and interestingly since our visit November 5th Cataloochee has installed permanent walls and windows enclosing the deck. See you at the Cat!
