HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE, CANAAN, and SNOWSHOE….An early morning flurry or two on Wednesday, then gradually decreasing clouds and temperatures in the middle and upper 20’s. Bundle up for those wind chills around zero, thanks to a northwest wind around 15 mph. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 8 degrees. Sunshine is back in full force on Thursday with a heat wave pushing the mercury up to around the freezing mark for a high.

WINTERGREEN, VA… Mostly sunny skies for Wednesday with warmer temperatures in the middle 30’s. Clear skies and quite chill overnight with temperatures falling into the middle teens. Sunshine returns for Thursday a high around 32 degrees. Clouds are on the increase to wrap up the week, with an isolated afternoon rain shower and highs in the middle 40’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Mostly sunny skies for Wednesday with a high temperature around 40 degrees. Clear skies Wednesday night with lows bottoming out in the middle 20’s. Sunshine is back for Thursday a high in the low 40’s. Clouds move in on Friday with isolated snow showers (20%) in the morning, a few sprinkles possible for the afternoon, and highs in the lower 40’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

High pressure delivers sunny skies to the High Country on Wednesday, with a high around the freezing mark. Clears skies for Wednesday night allow temperatures to drop into the middle and upper teens. Partly cloudy and seasonable for Thursday with a high around 40 degrees. By Friday, clouds are back over Western North Carolina with a sprinkle or two of rain possible and a high in the low 40’s.
