HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:
For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. We’ll start off the weekend with partly cloudy skies and temperatures warming into the middle and upper teens. A cold one for Saturday night with lows around 4 degrees. Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy for Sunday with highs in the lower 20’s. Cloudy for Monday with a 40% chance of snow developing by the afternoon and temperatures in the lower 20’s.
SNOWSHOE…. "Warming Up" for Saturday afternoon with a high around 8 degrees (and a wind chill of -15 degrees.) Clear skies overnight with a low around 6 degrees. Upper teens for Sunday with slightly milder temperatures in the upper teens. Cloudy skies move in for Monday, with snow making a comeback (70%) and highs in the mid 20’s.
WINTERGREEN…. Sunny skies and clear nights are the rule this weekend with highs in the middle 30’s and lows in the teens. A bit on the cloudy side again by Monday with snow showers developing with temperatures in the middle and upper 30’s.
OBER GATLINBURG…. Kicking off the weekend with sunny skies and a high temperature around 40 degrees. A bit warmer for Sunday with middle 40’s on the mercury with partly cloudy skies. Clouds and isolated showers move in Sunday night with temperatures in the middle 30’s. It will be a wet start to the work week, with a 70% rain chance on Monday and highs in the middle 40’s.
HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
A sunny start to the weekend across the High Country with temperatures not quite making it to the freezing mark by the afternoon. Cooling back down Saturday night with lows in the middle teens. A bit milder on Sunday with partly cloudy skies and highs around 40 degrees. Increasing clouds by Monday with a possible rain/snow mix (70%) and temperatures in the upper 30’s.
