The Timberline Four Seasons Resort family welcomes home one of its finest, Rockford "Rocky" White from Iraq . After serving a duty in Iraq from November 2007 to December 2008 he returned home to his family on January 24th in Thomas, West Virginia. While in Iraq Rocky was wounded twice but returned to his unit and for such bravery he earned a Purple Heart on June 3, 2008, he has received numerous awards and ribbons and a certificate from NATO during his deployment.

Rocky returns back to Timberline where he was a snowboard instructor in Timberline’s Ski School from 2001 to 2003 and joins his wife Amanda of Timberline’s Vacation Planning Department, his mother Patty White of Timberline’s Timbers Pub and Rocky’s father Bob White who also works at Timberline making his homecoming a heartfelt occasion for all fellow workers.

This photo was taken upon his return to West Virginia and Timberline is proud to have him back in our area and welcome him back to their slopes where he plans on snowboarding and teaching his wife Amanda how to snowboard along with their two children Ayden age 3 1/2 and soon daughter Zoe age 19 months.

Rocky and his family will be leaving Timberline and will be stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana soon. This wonderful family has been such an asset to Timberline that the resort will miss Amanda and her knowledge and dedication to its Vacation Planning Department along with Rocky and have issued them a life long Season Pass and welcome their return to the area.

On Saturday, February 7 Rocky and his family will be honored by the state of West Virginia at a special ceremony in Thomas, West Virginia where he will receive an award for his galantry in service at 11:00 at the Thomas Education Center.
