HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:
A Snowy Sunday…..

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. Cloudy Sunday with a 70% chance of snow by the late morning or early afternoon with highs in the upper teens and low 20’s. Look for a dusting to an inch accumulation possible. A mix of snow and freezing rain Sunday night (60%) with steady temperatures and a possible inch accumulation. Snow showers linger into Monday and Tuesday with highs in the upper 20’s.

SNOWSHOE…. Snow moves in on Sunday, mainly in the afternoon with a possible 2 to 4 inches. Temperatures will make it into the middle 20’s. Still holding on to a 60% of light sleet and freezing rain with temperatures in the low 40’s. Monday and Tuesday hold on to a 40% chance of light snow with temperatures in the 20’s.

WINTERGREEN…. Snow moves in for Sunday with a 100% chance of flakes flying, and highs in the middle 20’s. Accumulations will be in the 2 to 4 inch range. Snow tapers off to freezing drizzle on Sunday night with a low in the middle 20’s. Monday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 30’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. A wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain on Sunday morning with temperatures eventually in the lower 40’s. Precip changes to all rain by the afternoon, and continues into Sunday night (70%) with lows in the middle 30’s. An isolated shower for Monday with highs in the upper 40’s. Skies become partly cloudy on Tuesday with temperatures warming up to around 40 degrees.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Winter weather is back for Sunday with a 100% chance of a snow, sleet and freezing rain mix in the morning, with a high around 35 degrees. Through the afternoon and evening, the High Country will see rain or freezing rain. Temperatures will hold nearly steady in the overnight in the low and middle 30’s. Lingering clouds for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s.
