HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. More light snow Sunday (30% chance) with an inch or less accumulation and very cold temperatures in the single digits. Thanks to west winds around 20 mph, the wind chill will make it feel more like -15 degrees. A 50% chance of snow showers Sunday night with lows around -3 degrees. More snow for Monday (40%) and Tuesday (50%) with temperatures holding between 0 and 5 degrees.

SNOWSHOE…. . For Sunday, a 30% chance of snow showers, accumulating only a half inch or so. Look for a high temperature around 8 degrees. More light snow (50% chance) for Sunday night with a low of -3. More snow for Monday (40%) and Tuesday (50%) with temperatures holding in the single digits.

WINTERGREEN…. Finishing off the weekend with partly cloudy skies and a high around 30 degrees. Cold with mostly clear skies on Sunday night, and the mercury falling down to around 9 degrees. Daytime temperatures will be getting colder for Monday and Tuesday, with partly cloudy skies and highs close to 20 degrees.
OBER GATLINBURG…. Looking at a 30% chance of light snow for Sunday, mainly in the morning. Partly cloudy skies for the afternoon with highs around 36 degrees . Clouds return for Sunday night with a 20% snow chance and lows in the middle teens. The light snow lingers into Monday with a high around 30 degrees.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
A cold and blustery Sunday for the High Country with a 30% chance of snow showers and highs in the middle 20’s. Gusty west winds up to 50 mph at times will make the wind chill feel like 0 to -5 at times. Little or no snow accumulation is expected. Snow showers continue Sunday night with lows around 10 degrees. More light snow (30%) Monday night with a high around 20 and a low near 7 degrees. Winds will continue to blow up to 35 mph at times with a wind chill between -8 and 2 degrees.
