The forecast for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Ski Resorts is varied…so we’re diving right in by featured resort areas:

WISP IN MARYLAND: There’s a 60% chance of snow for Monday and Tuesday at Wisp. 3-6” more snow is forecast up there after they had snow most of Sunday.  Highs will be in the 30s today and Tuesday with overnight lows in the 20s.  That and snowmaking will make for some awesome ski conditions in Maryland . Things will get messy on Wednesday and Thursday with a 30-50% chance of rain and highs in the upper 40s and lows in the 40° range Wednesday night. Thursday looks like a mix of rain and snow with HIGHS near 50° and lows near 30°. Friday looks partly cloudy with highs near 40°.

SNOWSHOE IN WEST VIRGINIA : They are looking at a little less snow but should pick up an inch or so today and another inch tonight with highs in the 20s today and near 20° tonight. They may see ANOTHER inch of snow on Tuesday with highs and lows holding in the 30s. Wednesday and Thursday looks like a 50% chance of rain and Spring-like temps in the 40s to near 50°.  Friday should be partly cloudy with a high near 40°.

MASSANUTTEN RESORT IN VIRGINIA : An inch or two of snow will fall there today with highs in the mid to upper 30s, so some of it could mix with light rain. Tuesday looks Partly cloudy with highs near 45° and a low of 32°. Wednesday looks cloudy with a slight chance of a rain/snow mix and highs near 50°. Thursday will be VERY Spring-like with highs reaching to the low 60s! Friday looks Mostly Sunny and a high in the mid 50s.

OBER GATLINBURG and THE NC MOUNTAINS: Both areas are featuring MOSTLY SUNNY skies all week, with only a slight chance of a scattered drizzle Tuesday night and Thursday.  Otherwise look for sunny skies throughout the week ahead.  Look for highs in the 40s Monday, 50s on Tuesday and into the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday!
