Speaking of Reports

We got a few emails from SkiNC fans this weekend and again this morning about how we were the ONLY website, locally, regionally and nationally that was accurately reporting the conditions at Sugar and Appalachian. Actually, we were only reporting what their own reports stated. The fact that other reporting sources were not up to date or consistent with the resort’s reports IS interesting. Actually the Southeastern Ski Association’s site is still saying NO RESORTS ARE OPEN…and the North Carolina Ski Association’s website is not reporting Appalachian as being open yet either. Their report of Sugar’s base depths is not consistent with Sugar’s own report which is interesting since Sugar is on control of that input.

SkiCentral and OnTheSnow were also reporting different information.

Needless to say, we are proud of our reporting and want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have signed up again this season to send us reports and photos from all resorts. We have a little more tweaking to do and once we’re finished we think you’ll like our new format.
