I apologize just a little bit about not posting this update sooner as I was “on call” to do these kind of updates as we became aware of them – however I was out of the loop most of Friday as my youngest daughter was undergoing ACL reconstruction surgery. Yes, she will miss most of the season. She’s hopeful to get on the snow at some point…but there’s always next season.
TO THE GREAT NEWS…
Beech Mountain Resort, Sugar Mountain Resort and Snowshoe Mountain are ALL making snow as of this post and Cataloochee’s website says that they will as soon as temps allow this evening. THEY ALSO say that they will be open Saturday (Cat that is.)
Snowshoe’s Shavers Center camera really showed the best – hence the usage above.

I’m just getting home after a long day…so I’ll update you guys in the morning. I’m betting there are MORE ski areas making snow – they just have not made us aware of it as yet. Actually saw people SKIING at Ober Gatlinburg earlier today.
