HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…… A good chance of picking up 1 to 3 inches of snow for Friday with chilly temperatures in the upper 20’s and lower 30’s. Another possible 2 to 4 inches for Friday night with temperatures around 18 degrees for a low. A 40% chance of lingering snow showers Saturday with a high around 30 degrees.

SNOWSHOE…. Some morning snow and then a 90% chance of rain for Friday with highs in the lower and middle 30’s. Snow showers (30%) for Friday night with another inch or two possible and the mercury falling into the low teens. Saturday brings a 30% chance of snow showers and highs around 20 degrees.

WINTERGREEN….. Rain likely, possibly heavy at times with highs in the middle and upper 30’s. As temperatures fall into the upper 20’s Friday night rain showers will change to light snow. Possible accumulation of less than an inch possible. Sunshine returns Saturday with temperatures around 40 degrees.

OBER GATLINBURG….More occasional rain (60%) for Friday with highs in the lower 50’s. Scattered showers will change to a 20% chance of light snow Friday night as temperatures bottom out around 26 degrees. Saturday will be sunny and windy with gusts around 30 mph and highs in the middle 40’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
The week wraps up with a 100% rain chance on Friday and highs in the upper 40’s. Colder air moves in Friday night with temperatures in the middle 20’s and a 40% chance of light snow or freezing rain. Other than isolated snow showers (20%) on Saturday morning, skies will become partly cloudy with temperatures in the middle 30’s and gusty winds out of the northwest up to 40 mph.
