Snow, sleet, freezing rain. You name it, it’s coming. Tomorrow and into Wednesday are looking pretty yucky for North Carolina. West Virginia and Maryland are looking snowy! The West Virginia and Maryland ski areas have already seen a ridiculous amount of snow and it shows no signs of letting up this week! The Virginia ski areas may not see much of anything off the next storm that’s going to be passing through mid-week as they continue to put up very low natural snow numbers, but snowmaking temperatures have persisted!

North Carolina Ski Areas (Beech Mountain)

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday: A slight chance of snow and sleet before 11am, then a slight chance of sleet between 11am and 1pm, then a chance of rain and sleet after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tuesday Night: A chance of rain, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 31. West wind between 5 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A slight chance of rain or freezing drizzle before 11am, then a slight chance of rain after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 39. West wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of rain or freezing rain before 8pm, then a slight chance of freezing drizzle between 8pm and 3am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

West Virginia/Maryland Ski Areas (Snowshoe Mountain)

Tonight: A slight chance of snow before 7pm, then a slight chance of snow after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 18. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: Snow likely, mainly between noon and 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 31. West wind between 5 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tuesday Night: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 19. West wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Wednesday: Snow showers likely, mainly before 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 28. Northwest wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 12. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Virginia Ski Areas (Wintergreen)

Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 22. Northwest wind around 7 mph.

Tuesday: Cloudy, with a high near 38. West wind between 3 and 5 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. West wind between 5 and 7 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 41. Northwest wind between 8 and 11 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 22
