Hello All!

We began snowmaking this morning at 2:00 am and have continued throughout the day Thursday. We plan to make snow throughout the night tonight as well.  We will reopen on Friday, December 4 for daily operations at 9am for skiing and riding from 9am until 4:30pm and regular weekday rates in effect.  We know that we will be open from midstation down on 5 slopes and 2 aerial lifts and 1 conveyor lift operating.  We hope to be open to the top of the quad as well, but that will depend on snowmaking this evening and we will not make that decision until after grooming on Friday morning.

Tube World opening this Saturday will be dependent on snowmaking there tonight and Friday night.  We will not know if Tube World will be open until Saturday morning.  Please check back with us.

Our Can-U-Ski Food and Coat Drive to benefit Haywood Christian Ministries is happening this Sunday, December 6 from 8:30am –4:30pm, 24 cans of food or 2 winter coats in good condition gets a free lift ticket on Sunday from 8:30am – 4:30pm, only.  Regular rental and lesson rates apply.

Also this weekend is our Ski and Snowboard Swap – check out our website at www.cataloochee.com for more information.

Thank you for your continued support in our efforts to stay open.  It has been a challenging weather year thus far and we are working continuously when temperatures allow to put as much snow on the hill as possible.   We will update our report in the morning with base depth and slopes open.

#thinkwinter and we’ll see you out there!

Tammy
