Area Description:


Scaly Mountain Ski Area is a warm, friendly, family-oriented resort offering tubing ONLY this season...and they are open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (and Holidays). Thousands of families have come to enjoy Snow Tubing at Scaly Mountain!

They offer a large parking area that is located just off the highway and allows for easy access to the slopes and ski lodge facilities. The day lodge faces all slopes and is close to the lift so parents may take a break and yet observe their children from inside.

After the fun, enjoy a beverage or snack from our snack bar - or just sit back and relax in front of our large, wood-burning stove!

Overnight lodging is available nearby. We will be happy to recommend lodging upon request.

Scaly Mountain ski area is located just north of the Georgia border, off Highway 106.

From Asheville:

I-40 West to US 23/74
US 23/74 to Waynesville
US 23/441 to GA Border
Left on GA 246 7 miles too Scaly Mountain

From Greenville / Spartanburg:
I-85 South to Clemson
From Clemson to Westminster
76 west to Clayton GA
Right on 441 N ten miles to Dillard, Georgia
Right on GA 246/ NC 106, go straight 7 Miles to Scaly Mountain on right side of the road.

From Atlanta:
I-85 North to I-985 North, Which becomes US 441
Right on GA 246
Strait 7 Miles to Scaly Mountain
