We have a couple of notes to share with you guys today.
If you’re going to be close to Sapphire Valley this Saturday, they are hosting a blood drive at the Sapphire Valley Community Center, Saturday, August 26, 2006 from 11:00am and 3:00pm.
MANY blood types are in an EMERGENCY STATUS and you can be a hero to someone and ALL DONORS are eligible for a $1000 GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY!
If you can spare a few minutes, take your photo ID and show up.
FUNNY SEGWAYS …
We couldn’t help but get a chuckle when RJ, from Sapphire sent the Blood Drive notice, because his notice stated, "Blood Supply is at an all time low…please help." – THEN the very next line was, "RAZOR Sharp Wit…" – advising us of an event at the Comedy Club. I don’t know why it’s funny, but the words "blood" and "razor" in the same paragraph struck me as a chuckle-creating segway.
Speaking of "razor", Jim Gosset will be providing some razor sharp wit and dead-on impressions at the Sapphire Valley Comedy Club Monday, August 28th at 7:30pm.
THEN on Thursday, August 31st at 7pm you can experience some of the best in Bluegrass sounds with Curtis Blackwell and the Dixie Bluegrass Boys. Ticket prices are $10 per person and they will be playing traditional bluegrass music featuring some powerful vocals, great harmony and Charles Wood on banjo. Charles is a multi champion banjo player and worth the price of admission on his own. Join them for some foot stompin fun!
