We just heard from a news service that reported this past weekend’s snowstorm was the largest, ONE DAY, December snow storm in recorded history for the Southeast and Mid Atlantic. From 16 to 24" of snow fell on Friday and Friday night.  That snow continued to build on Saturday, Sunday and as of 2pm Monday was still creating some flurries to moderate snow across the region,

That storm also created a flurry of activity in the form of visitors to the website! During the Friday through Sunday evening period our ski network of weather, webcams and SkiSoutheast.com received 199,514 unique visitors and 3,146,892 page views!

The website’s peak traffic is traditionally in January of each ski season and while we have received more than that kind of traffic during mid season snows, the 199,514 visitors during this past weekend represents the most traffic that we have seen in a three day span during the month of December to date!
