HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:
For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….Picking up another 2 to 4 inches Tuesday with snow likely, and highs in the middle 20’s. More snow (80% chance) Tuesday night with 1 to 3 inches accumulation possible and lows around 9 degrees. Snow showers continue for Wednesday and Thursday (30%) with temperatures in the 20’s.
SNOWSHOE…. Cold and white on Tuesday with a 100% chance of flakes and an additional couple of inches possible with temperatures only in the middle teens. More snow likely Tuesday night with yet another 2 or 3 inches possible and lows near zero. A 20% to 30% chance of snow holds for Wednesday with a high in the middle teens and Thursday with a high around 28 degrees.
WINTERGREEN…. Increasing clouds on Tuesday with a 20% chance of flurries for the afternoon and temperatures in the middle 30’s. Clouds will move out Tuesday evening with lows in the middle teens. Sunshine makes a comeback on Wednesday with a high temperature around the freezing mark.
OBER GATLINBURG…. Skies will be partly cloudy Tuesday with a high around 40 degrees. Lows Tuesday night fall into the middle teens with mostly clear conditions. More sunshine and upper 30’s for Wednesday, but snow moves in for Wednesday night (40%) with a low around 24 degrees.
HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
A few passing clouds for Tuesday, with a snow flurry or two in the mix for the afternoon, and temperatures in the lower and middle 30’s. Another cold one Tuesday night with the mercury falling into the lower teens with partly cloudy skies and gusty winds around 20 mph. After an uneventful Wednesday, a 70% snow chance moves in Thursday with temperatures in the lower and middle 30’s. A 50% snow chance lingers into Thursday with a high around 32 degrees.
