Prices increase after October 31st, discounts available on Adult, Student, Senior, Military, Junior, Senior Plus and Mid-Week Plus Season Passes

Snowshoe, W.Va. –Just two days remain to take advantage of the lowest available rates for Snowshoe Mountain Season Passes. Passes are available through 10.31 with discounts up to 10% off regular prices, which will go into affect November 1.

Snowshoe Mountain is the region’s largest winter resort destination, featuring 60 trails over 244 acres for skiing and snowboarding, a mountaintop Village offering dozens of dining and shopping outlets, and over 1,400 lodging options, many of which sit slopeside. The unique “upside down” resort resides at 4848’ in the Allegheny Mountains and is owned by resort powerhouse Intrawest. Snowshoe sees an annual snowfall average of 180” of snow, and the resort saw more than 200” fall last season. Snowshoe averages a season of 130 days of skiing and riding.

Already this year the West Virginia resort has seen the season’s first snowfall, and was also able to make snow for a 24 hour period earlier this month. The resort anticipates restarting snowmaking efforts next week, and plans a November 25th Opening Day. Last season the resort saw tremendous early season snow totals and was able to open 5 days earlier than scheduled, a feat the hope to repeat this season. Long term forecasts for the mid-Atlantic and Southeast are calling for a long, cold, snowy winter, the perfect conditions for a strong snow season for Snowshoe and other regional resorts.

With $75 walk-up lift ticket rates, Snowshoe’s season passes offer skiers and snowboarders a great way to visit the region’s largest resort at a discounted rate. Most season passes pay for themselves in less than 7 visits to the resort. Pass holders are also privileged with discounts at Snowshoe dining and retail outlets, as well as discounted rates at other Intrawest resorts, including Stratton Mountain, VT, Copper Mountain, CO and Whistler Blackcomb, site of the 2010 Olympic alpine events.
