It’s Not Over Yet at Cataloochee!

Here’s the latest update from Cat!

You heard that right!  We are happy to say we have no firm closing date at this time and plan to ski and ride as long as we can!  And even though today marks 119 fun-filled days this season, we have several more on the way for you to get those last turns in!

The big news is we received 3″ of fresh snow overnight and are currently skiing from the top of the mountain down with a base of 38-58 inches.  We are on our late season operating hours of 9am until 4:30pm, Monday through Friday and 8:30am until 4:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays through the end of the season.

Want a current snow report?  Just click here.

Remember weekday rates are in effect even on the weekends which means a major savings to your wallet, too.  (A total $26 off the adult ticket price!)  And did you know if you have a current season pass to any other area you get $10 off the price of your lift ticket or season pass? Bring your current pass to receive your discount.

Wait, there’s more!  If you buy a lift ticket today and decide you like us well enough to ski with us again, we can upgrade your ticket to a season pass.  Questions?  Call us at the number below or click here for more info.

Spring just keeps getting better and if a last minute spring getaway is in your plans…we hope one more trip to Cataloochee and #MaggieValley is your choice!

Kenny grew up in Concord, NC, which is right outside of Charlotte. He graduated from UNC Charlotte in December 2010 with a degree in meteorology and joined Ski Southeast immediately thereafter. In addition to his Appnet duties, he helps with day to day operations of Ski Southeast and is also in charge of our sister site, ResortCams.com. In his own words... "I discovered this website a few years back and visit it on a daily basis. I lurked on the messageboard for a while before becoming actively involved and have met some very cool people because of it. Needless to say, I am VERY stoked to be a part of the team and I think I have a unique insight into what people want from the site seeing as I used to be on the outside looking in. I'm sure some people who are reading this have seen me on the mountain before. I am frequently at Beech Mountain and it’s not hard to spot me, as I usually have a camera on my head. I love to document my days on snow and have posted some videos on the messageboard before. If you ever see me out there, feel free to say hey!" You can email Kenny directly at [email protected]
