Sapphire Valley Ski Resort is the newest member resort to partner with us and feature a live streaming web cam. One of the shots>>
The camera is located at the base of the resort, displaying rotating views of various trails and the 500 foot tubing run. They aren’t opening the slopes until December 15, but I can already tell the camera’s going to be a hit this season.

Of course, you can always depend on our word for accurate snow reports and slope conditions, but if you want affirmation –or maybe you’re just a visual person– now you can see with your own eyes. Be one of the first fanatics to know about the snow starting to fall or notice the bare spot starting to spread. Catch a glimpse of the action and live vicariously through the peeps on the mountain when you’re miles away. Nothing’s as fun as descending down the trail on one board or two, but wouldn’t you say the next best thing is watching others enjoy the powder? Yes, no, maybe so?

I understand it may just make you a tad jealous, but hey, sooner or later, it’ll be you blazing in to somebody’s computer screen. Be sure to smile for the camera 😉

<< Pretend it’s covered in snow

Sapphire Valley plans to relocate the camera throughout the spring, summer, and fall to the Red Bird Golf shop where it’ll capture great views of golf, tennis from the Sapphire Valley Racket Club, and the driving range shared with the Country Club of Sapphire Valley. Look at that – you can people watch from the comfort of your own home 365 days year.

For a comprehensive list of all of our featured cameras, click over to resortcams.com. It’s better than reality TV, I’m telling ya! Massanutten Resort recently added a second camera. App, Cat, Sugar, Beech, Canaan, Snowshoe, Timberline, Winterplace, Bryce, Wintergreen, Ober, and Wisp all have them, too! “Oh, is that all?” It’s not, actually. Well, for ski resorts, it is, but there are tons more throughout southeast showing beautiful mountainous terrain, sandy beaches, busy streets in towns, and more. You want a “sitcom,” check out King Street – Boone, NC. For a “romantic comedy,” click over to Bar Harbor – Myrtle Beach, SC. Gatlinburg Ziplines has all the “action.” Save on your cable bill, and make resortcams.com your home page. Ha Ha…thinking about it?

In all seriousness, ResortCams is a great resource and complements SkiSoutheast well. Get in the habit of not only checking the snow report, reading the morning article, and following us on Twitter, but also taking a look at your favorite resort cams, and you’ll be in the know all season long.
