Mild, mild, mild…. December 9-13 Skier’s Forecast

Weather

Well above-average temps will be the big weather story around the region for the next several days. Highs in the Carolinas will be in the 60s Monday through Wednesday with lots of 50s for highs in the Virginias some 40s for Maryland.

To add insult to injury, there will be some rain from time to time. The most likely areas to see rain will be in the Virginias and Maryland, but some showers will be possible in the North Carolina mountains Sunday and Monday and then again Thursday.

A cold front will drop through Thursday, ushering in a change back to some colder temperatures for Friday and next weekend. But until then, unfortunately there will be some dwindling bases for the resorts. Again though, at least this is not an endless warm period we are entering….should last only a few days this time around.
