It’s 34° at Wisp Resort this morning and I’ve got an eye on the forecast there as we plan a trek to the Maryland based ski resort this weekend.  It’s going to wet up there today, snowy on Wednesday (expecting an inch or two) and the nice four of the next five days with sunny skies and highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s and low 30s.  Right now, Saturday is looking like a 50-50 shot at rain showers.

We’ll move over to Ghent, WV next (home to Winterplace) where they are at 42° this morning. They too are looking at rain today, maybe a dusting to an inch of snow Wednesday and the Mostly Sunny Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday with mild temps in the 50s.  Saturday looks rainy there as well with a 60% chance of rain.

Next we’ll visit Snowshoe Mountain where it is 39° this morning. Snowshoe is expecting rain today, an inch or so of snow on Wednesday and – you guessed it – sunny skies through the next few days, except on Saturday when there is a 60% chance of rain. Highs will be in the low 40s and lows in the 20s and low 30s through the period.

Wintergreen Resort in Virginia is going to slightly warmer so it looks like right now they will only see light rain today and Wednesday.  We’ll see as the forecast there is very borderline.  Could see a little mix to snow on Wednesday.  Thursday and Friday looks sunny and mild highs in the mid to upper 50s.  Mild again on Saturday with a little rain.  Nice Sunday and Monday with highs in the upper 40s to 50° and lows in the low to mid 30s.
