The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

The good news is that it's only expected to be a Category 1 at landfall now. Dry air keeps getting wrapped into the storm. The bad news is that New Orleans is looking more and more like it's going to be taking a direct/almost direct impact. The system is also expected to slow down so it's going to dump a lot of rain.

only gusts up to 40 or so and occasional rain bands coming thru at this time

Holding off most of the blow till this evening and tonight. Only 1.5" of rain so far
