The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Shoulda warned my kid that sugar's patrol doesn't mess around. no warning, just an instant revocation of the pass. He cut thru a spot that he and i had used earlier that day. the spot had some thinning zones in it and some of those crossed poles were in front of them. He did Gunthers and rather than deal with the easy st lift, routed the way we had gone earlier to get to the 6 pack...and got his pass yanked. The poles werent there to warn of thin spots so much as to delineate a closed run, he was told which seems atypical as i figured theyd have used ropes like they did for the rest of it. we skied til midnight at app the night before so i was tired and didn't feel like dealing with it, nor did i think it'd do any good. I announced a free locker in the rental room for anyone wishing to use it and gave out the code i used for access as it was good til 1159 pm

Gunthers lift was closed on a day so busy all parking up to the highway was in use and Sugar mtn themselves had run out of equipment. My guess is they might have been extra vigorous in enforcement as they looked to free up rentals.

And so my son has fallen into the sugar terrain trap, he wants to go back cause he loved tom t and gunthers. He despises them because of the pass yanking. Seems about typical of most experiences people have. I personally have never had any problems but I know get to add my boy to the long list of people who have.
