The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

hopefully not for good. If the Herz clan lets it go I think the best chance for a quick revitalization would be if the state picked it up

I was up at Timberline this summer (38 straight years of summer vacation there), and on July 20th there was a large cook-out/meeting on the shore of Spruce Island Lake for Timberline Resort homeowners. I'm not a homeowner there, so I wasn't invited, but I can imagine there were a lot of questions and fears from the homeowners. I spoke to one homeowner that wouldn't go into specifics, but they said their biggest fear was the operation of the water utilities , but they were told that it wasn't an issue for now.

Beat me to it. This could become a great ski area. Again.

Holy Crap! Did not see that coming. EVERY skier in the SE should be thanking God right now. I really thought this place was joining the list of lost ski areas and that would have just been tragic. The CV gets more natural snow than any other resort area in the SE and IMO T Line's terrain from top to bottom is the best in the SE period.

Make the drive people! I know its a bit further for most of us, but it will be worth it when this place re opens and experience both CV and TL. I promise you won't regret it.
