Headed up there in early February, my first trip to the resort. Any info would be much appreciated.

Looking forward to the season!

How many ski days? Don't know much since reading about the opening of Grey Mountain. But have a sense that you'll find plenty of Aussies.

Curious about this resort as well. Have been looking at it as an alternative to Whistler.

I'll be there the first full week of February. For a small additional fee you get all-day cat rides on Mt Kirkup. That was enough to convince me to pull the trigger.

Might learn something from this thread. It's a discussion among Aussies. Red is a pretty popular destination for them. I know an Aussie family who went for a week a few years ago and had a very good time. The parents are experts skiers and their son was about 8.

The buzz about Red Mountain right now is the investment fundraising that started in Canada during the summer and opened up for Americans last week. Already $1 million from Canadians and over $200,000 from Americans.

Found a good trip report about Red from 2011. The skier who posted it lives in upstate NY.

Doesn't have anything to do with how the skiing will be this season, but the OPO investment minimum of CDN $1.5 million was met on 12/01/17. That means the crowdfunding investment window will stay open until the end of the season. The next rolling closing date is in about a month. Also means the construction plans for the small owner's lodge and on-mountain cabins will move forward so that those buildings are ready for the 2018-19 season. Initial investors can start getting season ticket or lift ticket perks as early as Opening Day, which is expected on 12/9.
