Today could be called a ‘manufactured’ holiday . . . or . . . it could be a day to HIT THE SLOPES. However you look at it, it’s gonna be a pretty awesome day all around.

Just a touch of snowfall to report . . . Canaan, Snowshoe, and Timberline got half an inch. Many of the other resorts were right on the cusp of making snow . . . some did, some didn’t. Either way, it’s not a BIG impact, since most of the region is going to be a bit on the warm-side today.

The region as a whole might be slightly above average temps the next couple of days, but keep in mind February/March are some of the SNOWIEST months of the year.

Crush it today! . . . just don’t crush any hearts.

I have had a passion for snow sports my whole life, and that fire continues to burn bright. I spent six years as an instructor at Hidden Valley ski area and loved sharing the gift of skiing and snowboarding with others.Since moving to Western NC I average about 30 days per year at the local mountains and I'm excited about being a part of the SkiSoutheast team.
