HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. A 90% chance of snow holds on today with a possible 1 to 3 inches of accumulation and temperatures in the upper teens. A few leftover snow showers this evening, then decreasing clouds with lows around zero. Monday will be partly cloudy with a high around 25 degrees. Yet another round of light snow moves in by Tuesday (30%) with temperatures in the middle 30’s.

SNOWSHOE…. Snow will be likely again (100%) today with cooler temperatures in the lower teens. Snow showers will taper off tonight with lows around 1 degree. Warmer for President’s Day with highs in the middle 30’s and partly cloudy skies. A 40% chance of rain, possibly mixing with snow for late Tuesday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will warm up into the middle 30’s.

WINTERGREEN…. Skies will be mostly cloudy on today with a high temperature around 31 degrees. Temperatures drop down to around 11 degrees for tonight with partly cloudy skies. Sunny and a bit warmer on Monday with highs in the upper 30’s. The warming trend continues Tuesday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the middle 40’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Clouds and light snow (40%) linger for today with temperatures around 33 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy tonight with lows in the upper teens. Warmer with sunny skies on President’s Day with temperatures in the upper 40’s. Clouds are back with a 30% chance of rain showers and temperatures warming up into the low 50’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Today will be cloudy with an 80% snow chance and a possible additional inch or two of accumulation. Light snow tapers off tonight with decreasing clouds and the mercury falling into the low teens. By President’s day, sunshine returns with warmer temperatures around 40 degrees. Clouds return for Tuesday with a 30% rain chance developing as temperatures warm into the low 40’s.
