HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:
Under a Blue Clear Sky…..

For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN…. Lots of sunshine with temperatures in the low 40’s for Thursday. Skies will be partly cloudy overnight with lows in the middle 20’s. The week will wrap up with increasing clouds and a 60% rain chance Friday as temperatures push into the middle 40’s.

At SNOWSHOE…. Sunny skies Thursday with highs around 40 degrees. Clear skies for the overnight period with winds cranking up out of the southwest around 15 mph and temperatures holding nearly steady in the upper 30’s. Clouds roll in Friday with a 30% rain chance, mainly in the afternoon.

WINTERGREEN, VA … Thanks to high pressure, look for sunny skies and middle and upper 40’s for Thursday afternoon with clear skies and middle 20’s overnight. A mild end to the workweek with only an isolated shower (20%) chance Friday afternoon (Wintergreen) and dry for Ober Gatlinburg with temperatures in the middle 50’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Warming up a bit on Thursday with sunshine and highs around 44 degrees. Winds will swing around to the south between 5 and 10 mph. Skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy for Thursday night with lows in the upper 20’s and low 30’s. Clouds will thicken for the skies over the High Country with and isolated afternoon shower (20%) and temperatures topping out around 50 degrees.
