HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:
For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. A 60% rain chance to start the weekend with highs in the upper 50’s. The rain continues (60%) for Saturday night with lows in the lower 40’s. Basically dry for Sunday, with a shower mainly in the early morning. Otherwise, partly cloudy with highs in the middle 50’s.
SNOWSHOE… A 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms for Saturday with highs in the lower 60’s. More rain likely (70%) for Saturday night with lows in the middle 40’s. Only an isolated morning shower for Sunday, then partly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 60’s.
WINTERGREEN….. Scattered showers (30% chance) for Saturday with highs around 70 degrees. More scattered showers overnight with lows bottoming out around 50 degrees. Sunshine returns to wrap up the weekend on Sunday with temperatures warming up into the upper 60’s.
HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
A heavy mix of clouds and sun for the skies over the High Country on Saturday with very mild temperatures close to 70 degrees. Skies will be mostly cloudy on Saturday night with an isolated shower (20% chance) and temperatures in the upper 40’s. Can’t rule out a widely scattered shower or thunderstorm on Sunday (20%) with another warm one in the upper 60’s. Temperatures drop to near 60 degrees for Monday with a 20% chance of a few raindrops.
