HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. Starting out the weekend with an 80% snow chance and a possible 1 to 3 inches of accumulation. Temperatures will climb into the middle 20’s. A 50% snow chance lingers into Saturday night with a half inch or less accumulation and lows in the low teens. Skies will be partly cloudy for Sunday with highs warming up to around 30 degrees.

SNOWSHOE…. Snow is likely (100%) for Saturday with 3 to 5 inches accumulation possible as temperatures only warm up to around 20 degrees. With the wind chill, it will feel more like zero degrees. A 60% snow chance continues Saturday night with another 2 to 4 inches accumulation possible and lows around 8 degrees. Sunday will bring a mix of clouds and sun and a high around 20 degrees.

WINTERGREEN….. Starting the weekend with a 30% snow chance on Saturday with little or no accumulation expected and an afternoon high in the upper 30’s. Some evening snow showers Saturday night (30%) then decreasing clouds late with a low around 19 degrees. Skies will be sunny for Sunday with highs in the lower 40’s.

OBER GATLINBURG….Saturday will be sunny and windy with gusts around 25 mph and highs in the middle 40’s. Skies will stay partly cloudy Saturday night with lows in the low 20’s. More sunshine to wrap up the weekend with warmer temperatures near 50 degrees Sunday afternoon.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
A little light snow (40% chance) to kick off the weekend for the High Country with gusty winds from the northwest up to 40 mph. Possible snow accumulations will be between a dusting to half an inch with highs in the low and middle 30’s. A lingering flurry or two is possible Saturday evening with decreasing clouds and lows in the low 20’s. Lots of sunshine for Sunday with warmer temperatures in the lower 40’s.
