HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. Periods of snow for Saturday (80%) with up to an inch accumulation. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the low 20’s. A 70% snow chance into Saturday night with lows in the lower teens. A 70% chance of snow holds on into Sunday with temperatures in the low and middle 20’s. Monday will be partly cloudy with a high around 30 degrees.

SNOWSHOE…. A bit warmer Saturday with a 90% snow chance (with an inch or two accumulation possible) and temperatures in the middle 20’s. Snow will be likely again (100%) on Sunday with cooler temperatures in the lower teens. Warmer for President’s Day with highs in the middle 20’s.

WINTERGREEN…. Clouds will move in Saturday with slightly warmer daytime temperatures in the middle 30’s. Isolated snow showers (20%) may develop in the afternoon. A few snow showers (30%) Saturday night with lows in the low 20’s. Skies will be mostly cloudy on Sunday with a high temperature around 31 degrees. Sunny and a bit warmer on Monday with highs in the upper 30’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Clouds are back with some snow (70% chance) on Saturday with highs in the middle 30’s. Snow continues Saturday night into Sunday with lows in the middle 20’s and highs in the middle 30’s. Warmer with sunny skies on President’s Day with temperatures in the upper 40’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Another weather system will start off the weekend with a 70% chance of snow showers and highs in the low 30’s. An inch or less accumulation is expected. More snow for Saturday night (80%) with an inch or two accumulation possible. Sunday will be cloudy with a 50% snow chance and highs in the upper 20’s. By President’s day, sunshine returns with warmer temperatures around 40 degrees.
