Merry Christmas everyone.  Hope you were good this year.  I got a GoPro, so apparently I was!

If you are lucky enough to be on the slopes today you are going to thoroughly enjoy yourself.  A number of the resorts got natural snow and all were able make their own as well.

Snowshoe received 3” of natural snow in the past 24 hours while Winterplace is reporting receiving 2”.    Moving over to Virginia, Bryce laid down 3”, while Massanutten was able to add 4” of manmade – allowing them to open up 2 more runs.  Massanutten is making a lot of snow right now!

Down here in North Carolina, Beech was the recipient of about 1" of natural snow on top of a couple of inches on manmade.  Sugar got about a half of an inch and made another 4+”, which enabled them to open up a couple more runs including Big Red.  To round out the High Country, Appalachian Ski Mountain made 4-6” yesterday and last night.

Cataloochee has been busy with all of their new equipment and was able to lay down 4” of the manmade and open back up 3 runs that they had to close during our little bump in the road.  Cataloochee anticipates opening up more terrain tomorrow including the Wild Cat Glade!

Not to be outdone, Ober Gatlinburg added about 5 inches of good strong manmade and opened up 2 more runs.

There is good skiing and riding aplenty out there.  Plus as you can see in the pics, not a cloud in sight!  Just about the best Christmas gift one could ask for was delivered across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic ski resorts.  I hope you are able to bask in the yuletide!

Before I sign off, I just have to share this pic with you from Wintergreen.  Just amazing!

Take care out there today and go out and enjoy the wonders of the season.
