Slightly warmer and steady temperatures over the next few days… maybe some wet snow by late Tuesday.

For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN we’ll see highs in the middle 40’s today and tomorrow with winds out of the west around 5 to 10 mph. Lows will be the biggest change… around 20 for tonight and upper 20’s for Monday night. Clouds are on the increase late Tuesday with highs in the middle and upper 40’s. Late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, rain showers may change over to some wet snow for a couple of hours around sunrise, then highs on Wednesday are back in the low and middle 40’s.

At SNOWSHOE look for highs in the lower 40’s today and upper 40’s on Monday. Lows will fall into the middle and upper 20’s tonight and Monday night. Clouds are on the increase late Tuesday with highs in the middle and upper 40’s. Late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, look for rains showers to mix with or change to light snow. Highs Wednesday will top out around 40 degrees.

WINTERGREEN, VA & OBER GATLINBURG, TN – Warming up into the lower and middle 50’s over the next couple of days with lows in the upper 20’s to around 30 degrees. By Tuesday night, scattered showers move in with lows in the middle and upper 30’s. Showers linger into Wednesday morning with highs in the low 50’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

More “sunny skies galore” for the High Country today with seasonable temperatures in the low 50’s. The mercury will level off tonight in the low and middle 20’s. For tomorrow, we’ll start off the week with more sunshine and add a degree or two onto afternoon readings. Tuesday will be partly cloudy early with highs around 49 or 50. Rain showers develop for Tuesday night and early Wednesday with lows in the low 30’s… so a rain to snow mix for a couple or three hours is a possibility for the early morning. Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 40’s.
